Flobus, a contraction of flores and globus, grows unusual and wild flowers from all over the world. The starting material is partly self-collected, further coming from botanical gardens and other seed companies. The company is located in the village Kiel-Windeweer in The Netherlands, in a farmhouse with garden land and two greenhouses for production and drying. Almost all flowers are grown outdoors, with only some late-ripening varieties grown in the greenhouse. The harvest is often completed all at one time, otherwise the seeds are regularly picked. Further ripening and drying occurs in the greenhouse. Threshing occurs by hand or with a machine. The seedcleaning, storage, determination of germination and delivery take place in the farmhouse.
